Amy Chow – Fairies Charms
Such an enchanting, but aptly named stall – Fairies Charm is the brainchild of 3 siblings. One day, while vacationing in Australia, the Ian brother saw an interesting new handicraft being sold along one of the artisan streets. Being ever the entrepreneur, Amy quickly brought the idea of starting such a business in Malaysia, where the trend had yet to catch on.
Ian got the approval to attend a short course to learn up this new skill. Upon returning to Malaysia, the opportunity to utilize his newfound skills came in the form of a booth at Le Tresor market. Armed with Ian’s determination and foresight, together with his sisters’ support and a healthy dose of enthusiasm, Fairies Charm was born. The name Fairies Charm conjures the image of something innocent and sincere.
The booth offers custom made accessories such as earrings, necklaces and more. In addition to the anticipated women customers, Fairies Charm sees an increasing number of men coming to their booths for their stainless steel range of accessories, namely their bracelets.
It has been 10 years since the sibling team of Fairies Charm started business at the Curve. They have seen business improve since the takeover by Le Tresor, with better direction and proper publicity being given to help bring in the crowd. You can also find them at Le Tresor Galleria @ Wangsa Walk.
